Born on 25th June 1975, in Redwood City, California, Cardellini made her first public appearance at the age of ten when she sang in a school play. That was the beginning of a wide and impressive career that boasts of works like the teen drama Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000), the medical drama ER (2003–09), the drama thriller Bloodline (2015–17), and Dead to Me (2019–ongoing).  

Talking about films, she gained immense fame with the portrayal of Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo (2002), its sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004), and for her supporting roles in Legally Blonde (2001), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Grandma’s Boy (2006), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Green Book and A Simple Favor (both 2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

After completing her high school graduation, Cardellini moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in acting. 

In 1994, she appeared in one of the episodes of The Price Is Right. Cardellini was a contestant in the show, where she got to play and scored pretty well, winning herself a fireplace in the process. 

Right after this, she graduated from college with a theatre arts degree and was later recognized by the school as a distinguished alumna.

Speaking of her personal life, in October 2011, Cardellini and Steven Rodriguez announced that they were expecting a daughter, Lilah-Rose Rodriguez, who was born in February 2012. The couple got engaged in June 2013, and while they still have not officially tied the knot, they have lived as partners for years.
